Everything’s BIG and fun in Illinois!

We found ourselves surrounded by giant goofy statues and couldn’t resist the photo ops. Caught some melting ice cream from a towering cone—too big and too high to reach! Almost took a pie to the face, fixed a huge tire, and reached just far enough to ride the massive catsup bottle water tower. Janet even put on some catsup lipstick and grabbed a bottle for Ricky—my brother’s childhood friend. The laughs (and the statues) just kept getting bigger!

Slug Bug Rebels At the Ranch

Slug Bug Rebels at the Ranch We made a rebellious little detour at the  Slug Bug Ranch —a place where you're  actually encouraged  to spray paint on the cars without getting in trouble. Naturally, we took full advantage of the opportunity to unleash our inner outlaws and tagged a couple of slug bugs with our roaming relics flair. Shockingly, Janet didn’t even hit me for not calling “slug bug” first—clearly, we were off our game. Don’t worry, we made up for it later.  Slug bug! While we were mid-spray, we ran into the sweetest little family with an even sweeter little girl. And yes, you guessed it—we had to  corrupt  her. In the best way possible, of course. We handed her a can of spray paint and officially inducted her into the  tiny rebel hall of fame . It was only right!
